Recognition by the world community

Turkmenistan was elected to the membership of the Executive Council of the World Food Program for 2020 – 2022, the UN Population and Development Commission for 2020 – 2024 and the UN Narcotic Drugs Commission for 2020 – 2023 during the session of the UN Economic and Social Council on organizational issues on May 7, 2019.

Election of Turkmenistan to membership at the same time of the three structural units of this authoritative international organization shows that under the wise guidance of the national Leader, the work carried out in our country enjoys wide recognition and support from the world community. And this is support at the international level to ensure food security, modernize health care and education systems, implement long-term programs to protect mother and child health, implement effective work in strengthening healthy lifestyles, combating drug addiction, implementing systemic measures related with the prevention of bad habits, creating conditions for our people for regular physical education and sports.

For the last 12 years, the Government of our country and specialized UN departments has fulfilled 368 targeted projects in different spheres. This is a very effective and large indicator.
