CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
Our national spring holiday Novruz, inherited from our ancestors, is considered not only a spring holiday, but also a source of beauty, a unique treasure of national traditions, the convenience of a beautiful life, a source of abundance.
Inclusion of Novruz in 2009 year to the UNESCO list of outstanding examples of the spiritual and cultural values of mankind led to further enrichment of the cultural heritage of the peoples of the world.
The United Nations General Assembly February on 23, 2010 year supported the initiative of many countries to celebrate Novruz as an international holiday. Since then, on March 21 of each year, Novruz internationally celebrated as a great holiday.
The organized holding in our country, under the wise leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, in 2013, the International Day of Novruz, was clear evidence of friendly relations between the countries of the region, as well as the triumph of peace and unity.
In the year “Turkmenistan — home of Neutrality”, Novruz is celebrated in our country as a holiday of strengthening peace between peoples, affirming the principles of friendship and fraternity.
As the distinguished President wisely noted, the National Spring Festival — Novruz has become a vivid expression of the creativity, inspiration and hard work of the Turkmen people, calls for even greater heights of development and strengthens the sense of pride in our hearts for our Motherland.
