CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
According to tradition, annually on April is celebrated a World Health Day in Turkmenistan. Numerous sports, fitness, cultural, artistic and other events are held in our country. Our state attaches special importance to the development of mass physical culture, the Olympic movement and sports culture. The "Saglyk" State Program has been successfully implemented in our country under the leadership of the President. As part of the program, modern medical centers, sanatoriums, pharmacies and other specialized institutions are being built, which have raised the national healthcare system to a new level. Turkmenistan is investing considerable funds in expanding its modern sports and recreation infrastructure and its compliance with international standards. Projects of all educational and preschool institutions under construction in our country include sports halls equipped at a high level, basketball and volleyball courts, swimming pools, tennis courts and much more.
Today, many sports are actively developing in our country in close cooperation with the International Olympic Committee and various sports federations, including automobile sports, hockey. Ashgabat has an Olympic town that includes all conveniences.
All conditions for sports have been created in our country. This enables everyone to be physically healthy.
Today, namely on the International Health Day, it is especially pleasant to note that Turkmenistan, with its high level of sports support system meeting the highest requirements of world standards, has a very rich experience in holding major international competitions.
