CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
In the administrative center of Dashoguz velayat a meeting of voters was held with the candidate for the presidency - Serdar Jelilov, Head of Economy and Development Department of Akhal velayat. The meeting was held in the State Music and drama theatre named after N.Andalib, which brought together heads of local authorities, representatives of labor collectives, public and media, elders and youth.
The participants were familiarized with the biography and business qualities of the candidate, nominated by the initiative group of citizens. The trustee of S. Jelilov gave characterization of the candidate as a competent expert with organizational skills.
S. Jelilov among the priority tasks has noted reforming of agriculture, rational use of resources, the development of fuel and energy sector, transport, chemical and textile industries, increasing exports. The construction of social facilities, urban and rural development, job creation, business support will continue. Among the urgent tasks - support for sports and health strengthening movement, issues of culture, preservation of the national heritage.
The candidate has answered voters' questions concerning the plans for development of Dashoguz velayat, measures to improve social standards of the rural population, providing employment.
