CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
During in the Era of Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State cultural sphere in our country is being developed and improved in accordance with the advanced demands of the era. Thanks to the tireless efforts of our Hero Arkadag and our Arkadagly Serdar all necessary conditions are being created for masters of culture and art to express and reveal their creative abilities and talents. Special attention is being paid to the development of national culture and art, as well as to the promotion of our national heritage and values, which hold a significant place in world culture, this emphasis serves as evidence of the high importance of culture which is equated with the soul of the people in the life of the state and society.
Cultural policy has become an integral part of the foreign and domestic policy of the state. As a result of this policy, a clear path is opened to enhance friendly relations with the countries of the world to get acquainted with the national cultures of other nations. The level of development of a nation is determined by the state of development of its national culture. In the new historical epoch, through the tireless efforts of our Hero Arkadagly Serdar our culture and art are spreading across the world as a bridge of friendship. The development of cultural cooperation brings nations closer together and makes them friends. The Turkmen people with their rich national values developed and perfected over centuries, among those who have made a significant contribution to the progress of human civilization. This is clearly confirmed by the recognition of both our tangible and intangible cultural heritage throughout the world.
As our esteemed President said: “The cultural sphere has a special role in enhancing the creative potential of our Motherland. Culture and art are the spiritual wealth of the people”. In our beloved Motherland holidays come one after another. In our prosperous and peaceful country holidays and festivities are held with grand celebrations. The unique holiday of Turkmen culture held during the “Year of International Peace and Trust” coincides with historical events in the life of the state. As every year this cultural week concludes with the Day of Culture and Art Workers and the Day of Poetry of Makhtumkuli Fragi.
As we know, on the Day of Culture and Arts Workers and Makhtumkuli Fragi’s Poetry, which is celebrated with a special ceremony on June 27th of each year, wonderful gifts prepared by specialists in this field and creative masters open an indelible page in the history of our national culture and add a special touch to a truly national Turkmen holiday.
Of course, this is a sign of respect for culture, art and the great poet Makhtumkuli Fragi. The head of state emphasizes that culture and art are the spiritual wealth of the people the development of the cultural sphere ensures the unity of society and the spiritual revival of the nation. It is from this point of view that culture is the spiritual treasure of the people and contributes to the enrichment of the spiritual world of people. Because in culture and art wonderful traditions, noble traditions, national values, poetic world and perfect examples of folklore of our people, who have made a great contribution to world culture throughout their glorious history concentrated.
In fact, when we talk about the Turkmen people, their great poet Makhtumkuli Fragi comes to mind and when we mention the name of the wise thinker, the dignity of the Turkmen people rises even higher. The literary legacy of the great poet serves as a guiding light in life for all people and is an example upbringing and school of life for the youth. The fact that our esteemed President noted: “Makhtumkuli’s poetry is a hymn to patriotism. He is a patriotic poet who loved his people and land, called for their protection and appreciation. He is a great thinker who wanted well-being for humanity and showed it the right path” is a clear proof of this.
May our Hero Arkadag, our Hero Arkadagly Serdar, who upholds the honor of our national culture, art and Makhtumkuli Fragi, whose poems have become the songs of the centuries, be healthy and live long and may their noble deeds be blessed with success!
