CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
Thanks to the far-sighted initiatives of our Hero Arkadag and the unparalleled efforts of our esteemed President our country gives priority to innovations and masters advanced construction practices. In this regard, the city of Arkadag, which was built in one of the ancient corners of our Earth, on the most beautiful, magnificent, naturally clean slopes of ancient Kopetdag, which is the source of the glorious history of our ancestors and which was brought to perfection by the keen talent, unparalleled zeal and inspiration of our Hero Arkadag, based on the extensive use of the first in the region principles of “smart” city and “green” technologies has become the joy and pride of all our people as a city of youth and adolescence, future and eternal happiness.
This is clearly demonstrated by the fact that the city of Arkadag built with modern accents of our national architecture and the most modern engineering solutions has been awarded certificates and awards from the largest international organizations in the world. The city of Arkadag a wonderful product of the architectural art of our time has become another evidence of the economic power of our country. The developed infrastructure of this city, which is flourishing during the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state embodies the harmony of the spiritual world of the nation, cultural values, creative abilities and high achievements of our country.
The Turkmen people built great states in the past, known throughout the world and cities that amazed with their beauty and gained great fame in the world. In the era when our sovereign Motherland is moving forward the city of Arkadag, which was founded by our Hero Arkadag with the wisdom that absorbed the principles of the statehood of the people, shines brightly to the world as a symbol of our bright future.
Today, the city of Arkadag is becoming a smart city based on the enormous potential of advanced innovative technologies in the Central Asian region. The city of Arkadag, which was opened on June 29, 2023 with the participation of our esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov is a very large-scale project. Within the first stage of the city of Arkadag, 336 cultural, social and other facilities were built and commissioned. When you look at the buildings, each of which impresses with its beauty and unique architectural appearance, you realize that each of them resembles a unique work of art.
As our Arkadagly Serdar noted, new city of Arkadag is one of the most convenient and advanced cities of our time for living, working and relaxing. All the necessary conditions and amenities of a high level for studying, creative work and cultural recreation of our citizens have been created here. Also, the worthy work carried out by the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charity Fund for assistance to children in need of guardianship, established on the noble initiative of the National Leader and headquartered in the city of Arkadag, testifies to the fact that the humanistic principles of our ancestors continue.
With the blessing of the esteemed President the 2nd stage of construction of the new city is currently underway. At the 2nd stage of construction of the city of Arkadag, 5 secondary schools for 720 students each, 9 kindergartens for 320 children, a health center, a fire station, administrative buildings of the administration of the etraps of the city of Arkadag, a museum, the “Health” park, a children’s park, a shopping and service complex (market) and a number of residential buildings will be built. In addition, the railway station of the city of Arkadag, a bus station and a parking lot and a registration point, a seismic station providing accurate calculation of seismic vibrations, a shopping and service complex will be built.
In addition, among the large-scale construction projects to be completed in the second stage of the city of Arkadag, a mosque will be built and commissioned, which is considered the “House of Allah” in the Islamic world with a total area of 34.5 hectares, which will allow more than 15,000 people to pray at the same time, as well as a sadaka house for 1,500 people. The city of Arkadag is the first “smart” city in the region, combining national architectural principles with advanced modern practices and is a vivid symbol of the harmonious socio-economic development of Turkmenistan. The fact that the city has received numerous international certificates and awards for sustainable development, environmental friendliness and innovative solutions indicates that a large-scale urban development project has been implemented here at an excellent level.
It should be noted that the city of Arkadag created in just two years, has become a city where international events, conferences, forums and holiday events dedicated to major events are regularly held. An example of this is the international conference “Year of Peace and Trust: developing international activities for children” held on March 29 of this year in honor of the fourth anniversary of the establishment of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charity Fund for assistance to children in need of guardianship;
an event in connection with the brilliant victory of the national equestrian group “Galkynysh” of the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan, which was created through the efforts of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Hero Arkadag at the 47th International Festival of Circus Arts held in Monte-Carlo, Principality of Monaco from January 17 to 26 of this year and awarded the Gold prize of the festival and other special awards;
also events related to the participation of the “Arkadag” football team founded in 2023 in the city of Arkadag in the final tournament of the AFC Challenge League of the 2024-2025 season held in Cambodia on May 10 of this year, where the “Arkadag” football team defeated the four-time champion of Cambodia “Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng” team and became the champion, winning the Cup and cash prize.
Thus, the city of Arkadag, which is an artistic architectural image of our great achievements, our high standards, our peaceful and prosperous Motherland, our statehood will become a model of our eternal happiness, unity, a beacon of our new historical era and will sound for centuries.
