CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
Thanks to the unparalleled efforts of our Hero Arkadag and our Hero Arkadagly Serdar our beloved Motherland has entered the ranks of rapidly developing countries in the world. Turkmenistan’s foreign policy initiatives on the Sustainable Development Goals are consistently supported in the international arena.
The third confirmation of the legal status of the permanent Neutrality of our Independent state by the UN General Assembly Resolution, as well as the declaration of 2025 on the initiative of Turkmenistan in accordance with the relevant United Nation General Assembly Resolution as the “International Year of Peace and Trust” clear evidence of the high authority of our beloved Motherland in the world. The fact that the 30th anniversary of the permanent Neutrality of our country coincides with the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations in this glorious year further increases its significance. Our people will celebrate the significant 30th anniversary of their permanent Neutrality together with the world community, filling it with historical events and spiritual uplift.
The concept of permanent Neutrality is a spiritual value inherited from our ancestors and passed on from generation to generation. Spiritual values live forever. This eternal value underlies the development of our country, permanently Neutral Turkmenistan. Our noble traditions, which have stood the test of time for many years and are imbued with unity, solidarity, peacefulness, humanism and patriotism have further enriched our spiritual and moral treasures. Our country with such a spiritual heritage, successfully implements a foreign policy based on the principles of positive Neutrality, peacefulness, good neighborliness and effective international cooperation.
Thanks to the unparalleled efforts of our Hero Arkadagly Serdar, who successfully promoted the philosophy of our National Leader “Dialogue – is the guarantor of peace” and the principle “Peace through development” and pursued an effective foreign policy our country, as a regional center for reconciliation, calls on the entire human community to unite, consolidate, friendship and brotherhood and countries to jointly resolve important issues of modernity through dialogue and unity.
The principles of good neighborliness, universal peace, friendship and brotherhood, mutually beneficial cooperation and positive Neutrality are the basis of the foreign policy pursued by our country. Our country is widely known as a state that responsibly and reliably approaches the development of priority areas of cooperation and the resolution of mutually beneficial issues in a positive way. In this regard, countries around the world and many international organizations show great interest in cooperation with our country. Our country maintains productive relations with the United Nations. This increasingly strengthens the reputation of our Neutral country as a peacemaker in Central Asia.
If you look at the views of our Hero Arkadag in his wonderful work “Music of peace, music of friendship and brotherhood”, you will understand that peace – is the greatest value.
Our country, which is the birthplace of peace and trust, known in the world community as a state that adheres to the generally recognized principles of international law, puts forward international initiatives and supports proposals aimed at solving problems of global importance. The positive results of multilateral cooperation, which is constantly implemented with the structures of the United Nations, play an important role not only in developing the foreign policy strategy of our country, but also in increasing its international authority. The foreign policy of our Hero Arkadag committed to the permanent Neutrality of the country, peacefulness, humanism, equality and good neighborliness is recognized and supported by the world community.
As part of the work carried out with the United Nations of universal humanitarian significance adoption at the initiative of our country of the Resolution “2025 – International Year of Peace and Trust” also testifies to the fact that the foreign policy of our country, adhering to the principle of “Open Doors” is being implemented at a decent level.
The initiatives put forward by our country are rooted in the principles of peaceful behavior and policy of positive Neutrality. Promoting the principle of peaceful behavior on Earth and developing good cooperation in the region and world are our noble goals.
Under the far-sighted and wise leadership of our esteemed President cooperation with the United Nations and its structural divisions is carried out on a systematic basis.
Of course, cooperation with international organizations is well reflected in the election system.
As you known, Central commission for holding elections and referendums in Turkmenistan and United Nations Development Program in Turkmenistan signed a Project Document for 2024-2025 entitled “Assistance in strengthening the capacity of the Central commission for holding elections and referendums in Turkmenistan”.
Within the framework of this document Central commission for holding elections and referendums in Turkmenistan and United Nations Development Program Representative Office in Turkmenistan together with international experts from the United Nations Development Program held training seminars in December 2024 and February 2025. At this event, international experts presented reports on international experience in holding elections and referendums. In accordance with this Project document, which will last until December of this year, a number of similar events are planned to be held in the future. These events are aimed at further ensuring the electoral rights of citizens of the country at a modern level.
We sincerely wish our esteemed President and Hero Arkadag, who are carrying out humanitarian work in the name of the triumph of Turkmen Neutrality, which is a clear path to peaceful development at the international level, health, long life and success in their noble deeds for the benefit of the people and the country.
