CENTRAL COMMISSION FOR HOLDING ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUMS IN TURKMENISTAN
The widely celebrated 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent Neutrality during the International Year of Peace and Trust, filled with great achievements and historic events. The great work started by the National Leader continues successfully today under the leadership of our Arkadagly Hero Serdar. Since the first days of Independence, Turkmenistan confidently following its chosen path of Neutrality and peace has achieved recognition of its legal status as a permanent Neutral state by the United Nations three times. Independent Turkmenistan is known as a country that celebrates peace and humanism on earth. The country’s policy aimed at universal peace, prosperity and sustainable development has received wide recognition worldwide.
Of course, measures to transform our sunny country into a blooming garden are also one of the priority humanitarian principles of state policy and this noble tradition continues its activities at a worthy level.
The fact that the Head of State participates in the nationwide tree planting ceremony held in our country annually in the spring and autumn and initiates this noble endeavor, sets an exemplary example for generations model school. Events involving the mass planting of garden seedlings are a clear testament to the unity of our people and their active participation in public affairs.
In the book “Paýhas çeşmesi” published on the initiative of our Hero Arkadag the section “Tebigat we zähmet hakynda” contains proverbs and sayings related to plants, animals, soil and water – the most valuable natural resources. Proverbs and sayings related to the garden in this book, such as: “Bir nahal ekseň ýaşyň baky”, “Saýany ekmedik salkynda ýatmaz”, “Ýüz agaç eken oduna gitmez”, “Bir ýyl tut ekseň, ýüz ýyl altyn alarsyň” emphasize the importance of planting and maintaining garden.
As a result of the work carried out to transform the country into a garden, thousands of hectares of forests have been planted in every corner of our beloved Motherland, including in the foothills near the capital – Ashgabat and Arkadag – creating a favorable climate. Work is currently underway to create green spaces in all regions of the country and in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone.
In our country expansion of forest areas, the conservation and sustainable management of forests, the preservation of biological diversity, the creation of favorable environmental conditions, the development of forestry, the improvement of its legal framework, the conduct of scientific research in the field of environmental protection and the development of international cooperation in forestry are integral parts of environmental policy.
Forest trees and other plants play a huge role in nature. Plant life maintains the balance of nature and serves as a source of life. Trees act as a “green filter”. Trees growing on one hectare of land absorb 50-70 tons of dust from the air annually. In addition to mechanical air purification, green trees also purify it biologically. Passing through tree branches, the gases they release – enzymes – destroy most pathogenic microbes. Human created forests areas play a huge role in mitigating the impact of climate change, transforming our country into a garden and preserving biodiversity.
The Decree of the President of Turkmenistan adopted the “National Forest Program of Turkmenistan for 2021-2025” and the “State Plant Protection Program in Turkmenistan for 2022-2025”. The action plan for implementing these programs is being successfully implemented.
The Turkmen people have always treasured nature, protecting it like the apple of their eye. During the International Year of Peace and Trust special importance is attached to environmental well-being. Active afforestation efforts in the country provide a powerful impetus for Turkmenistan’s international initiatives in environmental protection and ensuring environmental well-being, its commitments under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Convention to Combat Desertification and the Convention on Biodiversity, as well as the successful implementation of the objectives outlined in Turkmenistan’s National Strategy on Climate Change.
Turkmenistan’s efforts to direct the efforts of states and peoples around the world toward such an important goal as strengthening eco-civilization also reveals the humanistic nature of the esteemed President’s environmental policy. Turkmenistan contributes to positive solutions to global environmental problems, which benefits not only our country, but also the well-being of current and future generations on the planet.
Environmental friendliness – means a healthy life and clean air. Environmental friendliness – is the foundation of a happy life. Thanks to increasing attention to environmental protection, the expansion of natural resources and their effective use for the benefit of the country, our country is turning into blooming garden.
